BCS World Language Program

 

K-5 Mandarin: Content-enriched FLES Program

 

We integrate some of the California Common Core Standards in Math and Social Studies students are studying in their homeroom classes.  All students at Bullis Charter School receive Mandarin instruction during their regular school day from Kindergarten to third grade. In Fourth and fifth grades, students can choose to continue to study Mandarin after school three afternoons a week.

 

Gr. 6-8 Mandarin/Spanish: Equivalency of High School Level 1

 

Beginning in sixth grade, students choose to study either Mandarin or Spanish and stay with the same language for the next three years until they graduate from Bullis Charter School.  Students who finish eighth grade Mandarin/Spanish at Bullis Charter School enter at least high school level 2 Mandarin/Spanish.
