Ms. Tang was born and raised in a very beautiful town in the Anhui province located in eastern China. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Science, Ms. Tang earned a scholarship to study in the United States.

 

Ms. Tang realized her passion for teaching after working with high school students one summer and decided to continue her career in education. She went on to complete a Masters in Education and earned her single subject teaching credential in both Mandarin and Math. Since then, Ms. Tang has taught all levels of Mandarin, from beginning to advanced, with her last job teaching high school students at Redwood High School in Marin County. Ms. Tang taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade Mandarin at BCS last year. Ms. Tang loves being able to integrate science and math while teaching Mandarin. She also delights in being able to share her personal knowledge of Chinese culture and history with her students.

 

Yanfei is very excited to be returning for her fifth year at BCS as a Mandarin specialist.
